Agario, Agar.io or Agar IO - The name of the game
Agar.io is the first and top-rated IO game, IO in gaming means a game genre while agar is a thick substance coming from seaweed and used to cultivate bacteria.
This page is about Agar.io the massively multiplayer online action game. It was launched in April 2015 on 4chan without even having a name. The name was later suggested by a user as a consequence of the fact that cell.io was already taken.
Agario gameplay - Cells, pellets, and viruses
Cells are the players. They move in the direction of the mouse and eat pellets and viruses. All happens in a map representing a Petri dish.
Pellets are little dots (agar) you have to eat to gain mass. Usually, they give you 1 mass when eaten, but there are also bigger pellets.
Viruses are green cells. They can both help you or hurt you. You can only eat them when you are large enough; otherwise, they hurt you.
Your goal is to grow in mass by eating pellets to gain mass. When you are large enough, you can also eat viruses. You can even eat smaller cells and take care not to be eaten by more prominent players. As you eat, you increase your mass. If you stop eating for seconds, you will lose mass, so you have to feed yourself all the time. Smaller cells move quickly, while larger cells are slower. That is why sometimes you need to split or eject part of your mass in the form of a food pellet.
Controls and keyboard. Move, Split & Eject
Cursor
You control the direction of your cells with the cursor. If you have more cells, they all follow your cursor. You can also merge your cells with the mouse by placing the cursor in between the tow.
Space bar
Press Space to split your cell into two equal parts. If you already have more cells, each of them will split into two parts having the same mass. You are allowed to have a maximum number of 16 cells.
W Key
Press W on the keyboard to eject a small part of your mass. This is useful when playing in a team to feed your partners. Be aware that a part of the mass is lost in this mechanism.
Agario Solo Server vs. Multiplayer. Agar.io PVP vs. PVE
PVP
Player vs. Player means you play with other human partners. Playing with tens of partners could be more exciting and lets you show off your skills.
PVE
Player vs. Environment (aka computer or solo player).
Maybe you will try to gain mastery by playing alone, against the computer at the beginning. If that the case the following paragraph is definitely useful for you.
Agar IO - 3 Tips and Tricks
- Split & Merge your cells. Smartly control your mass. Split your cells to move faster and merge back when you need to swallow viruses.
- Eject. Eject mass to feed your peers when playing in teams
- Don’t forget to eat. If you don’t eat anything for about 11 minutes, you will melt. Without eating, you lose 0.2% of your mass per second.
Agario unblocked & Agar.io private servers
Of course, many schools and companies don’t want students or employees to spend their tie playing. For this reason, they block access to gaming sites. As we said in other post HTML5 games are not blocked as often as the flash games are. Even if you want to train alone or finding peers to play with, try to find an unblocked server.
